Such a gorgeous little model sewing machine. I ordered this for the cuteness factor because I've loved sewing for as long as I can remember. It's styled like one of the classic old fashioned British-style sewing machines which many women owned, and is made from 'weighty' metal just as the machines were. The mini sewing machine is a lovely classic shape, with a swirled/nature golden decoration, a decorative curved base and tiny details such as a reel of cotton on the top spool holder and the tiny handwheel on the side. The reverse of the machine is plain black. My reasons for 4 stars are that, for the price, the gold design is a sticker which isn't quite fully adhered at the centre and would be better if applied to both sides, the paint finish is a little bumpy and I feel the absence of a needle (as there is 'cotton'; perhaps there's no needle in case it goes in a dollhouse). There are no marks or scratches though (my first up-close image just has the effects of white light reflection). I'm hoping it will last forever as I love it so much. The decision is whether to put it in a dolls house or on display, perhaps on a shelf in a sewing room/area. I haven't quite decided where mine is going yet, but I will certainly enjoy it - it's an absolutely lovely item to own.

Nice quality miniature singer sewing machine
I absolutely adore this miniature sewing machine. It's just like the one I was given as a child and learnt to sew on, I had to prove myself before I was allowed on my mother's electric machine! This one is made of metal and it's a really good representation of a singer sewing machine with the turn handle that drives it. It's black with the gold writing on and it's all really well proportioned. This will have pride of place in my sewing room, a lovely little miniature that I will treasure.
